This week I received my credentials for completing a course with World Coach Institute, and am now a Certified Spiritual Coach. As I continue  my education, clients benefit by my new skills. By the end of this year, I will have my Master Coach certification as well as Christian Coaching.

I continue to see the spirituality around me. I have recently become aware of how defensive I can be. Where does that come from? Growing up with five brothers and sisters may have contributed to it; someone was always blaming someone else when the dreaded, “Who did this” bellowed from another room. Suddenly, five voices joined in unison, “NOT ME!” My lack of self confidence seemed to grow from there.

But as life progressed, so did I, learning many wonderful skills and becoming quite good at some of them. But I still often felt inadequate. Today, I recognize where I excel, but perhaps still worry about the small stuff and what others think of me.

Awareness is the key to change. Now, when I hear defensive words coming from my own lips, I can stop, think about where it’s coming from, and consider alternative thinking.

It’s all a process. Change seems so uncomfortable, but it is part of my spiritual path and I embrace it!
